About Us
Thomas Spencer Fine Art is a British fine art dealership specialising in significant works from the 20th century to the present day. Our collection spans Modern British painting, sculpture and works on paper, alongside a carefully curated roster of contemporary artists whose practices contribute meaningfully to today’s cultural conversation. From Royal Academicians and historically important figures to emerging talents, we champion artists whose work resonates with depth, integrity and lasting relevance.
The gallery is led by Tom Mehigan and Laura Bryant, who together bring complementary expertise and a shared commitment to scholarship, connoisseurship and the advancement of British art.
Tom founded the gallery in 2018 following academic training at the Courtauld Institute of Art (BA & MA). He has worked in the art world since 2012 and contributed to The History of Art: A Global View (Thames & Hudson), reflecting his dedication to research-led collecting and the wider art historical narrative.
Laura joined the gallery after a decade as Director at Philip Mould & Company, following earlier roles at Sotheby’s in London and Geneva. Her specialist focus lies in Modern British and contemporary art, with a particular interest in modern and contemporary British ceramics and the work of women artists.
